We Moved...Again!


It’s been a while since I last posted, but not because I’ve been slacking!  We’ve been SO SUPER busy packing and moving!  Yep… that’s right!  We have a new place! And we LOVE it!

We’ve been back in Louisville for a little over a year, and our first place that we rented when we moved here was great, but it was so tiny and we needed more space.  So we started looking a few weeks ago, and found a great place that we loved!  It’s in the Highlands in Louisville and only about ½ mile from Bardstown Road, which is my FAVORITE area of the whole city!

We have TWO bedrooms now, an AWESOME kitchen with TONS of space to cook, a nice big living room that we can relax in, and LOTS of windows! The bathroom is a little smaller than I would like, but I can definitely live with that… everything else makes up for it!

Our neighborhood is really nice and has lots of trees and walking paths, which we’ve already started putting to good use.  And I can’t wait to walk to Bardstown Road for dinner, music, ice cream, and shopping this summer! 

We are so excited to be in the new place, and are having fun decorating and filling our new space.  I’ll post pictures as soon as we get everything organized and in place!  Until then, here is a picture of the outside!

Foodie Friday: Carrot Cake Gone Clean

I think I’ve just died and gone to carrot cake heaven! And the best part? I get to devour this entire plate guilt-free, because it’s clean and on my nutrition plan! HELLLLLLS YEAH!    A fellow fitness coach friend of mine shared this yummy recipe in our virtual fit group, and I can't get enough of it!  It's clean, healthy, and oh so simple, which makes it perfect for a delicious pre- or post-workout snack.  It's packed with veggies, protein, and healthy carbs, so all of your macros are covered.  And BONUS... My Two and a Half Year Blogging Hiatus

Hey there!  It's been a while since my last post--two and a half years, but who's counting?  As it often does, life got a little crazy, and blogging got pushed to the back burner.  But I've recently had an itch to start writing again. So here I am. I've missed it. And a lot has changed in our lives since I last wrote.  So let me bring you up to speed... I got a promotion at work, and am now the pharmacy manager of a local retail pharmacy. My husband is working to make his dream of being a full-time photographer a reality.  He's insanely talented, and the fact that he's completely self-taught amazes me!
