Two Down. Five To Go...

Yesterday, I completed my second (of seven) rotation for school.   I was at the University of Louisville Pharmacy, working specifically in the Neurosurgical ICU.   Talk about a learning experience.   The atmosphere was sometimes really intense and really emotional, but I’m glad to have had the opportunity to work there, because I not only developed my pharmacy knowledge, but I also learned a lot about myself.   I can remember my first day there…I was completely overwhelmed.   I remember coming home that night and talking to Kyle about how much I disliked everything about it, telling him “I don’t belong in a place like that.”   I think I even cried... Ridiculous, I know. :) Looking back now, I realize how silly I was for feeling that way.   Yes, it was overwhelming. The Windy City: Maybe One Day We'll Call It Home...

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Kyle and I decided to take a trip up north to Chicago.   I first experienced the beautiful city last September while visiting my good friend, Christina, and Kyle hadn’t visited Chicago since middle school.   I was dying to go back, and Kyle was excited to see it with grown-up eyes.   We hadn’t taken a trip together since our honeymoon last May, so we were long overdue for a getaway! We arrived in Chicago on Saturday afternoon and immediately set out to see the sites.   We had an amazing dinner at a little Italian restaurant, Coco Pazzo.   It was absolutely THE BEST pasta I’ve ever had.   Then we headed down to Navy Pier to have drinks and watch the fireworks show.   It was so crowded, but so much fun!   We even got to witness a couple get engaged during the fireworks show!   Our Sunday started with a visit to Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower).   We traveled the 103 stories up to see Chicago fro...
